I was raised in the midwest by hard working parents in the auto industry who instilled in me strong personal and family values and the importance of education.  I've had a successful career with a global food company, leading global warehouse and transportation systems, and being responsible for delivering continuous cost savings for the company’s bottom line.

My wife, Kathleen (who served four years as a Clearwater City Councilmember) and I have been blessed with three amazing children.  During their childhood, I volunteered to coach hockey, soccer, and football teams.  As a parent, this was both a privilege and a joy.

When Kathleen and I moved to Clearwater we immediately became involved in the community.  I  have advocated for and helped numerous families, non-profits, churches, and municipalities lower their energy bills.  This has complemented the leadership and board positions I've held with Suncoast Sierra Group, Pinellas Parks and Conservation Advisory Board, Clearwater Housing Alliance, and the North Pinellas League of Women Voters.  Helping families lower their living costs, and improving the health and well being of families, is a consistent priority of mine.

Along with talking about how to achieve energy savings, I enjoy being in the outdoors with friends and family - including fishing, biking, running, and hiking.
